European Fish Weeks 2012

Imagina un oceà sense peixos; Imagina una alimentació sense peix; Imagina les conseqüències globals... Aquest pot ser el nostre futur si no ens aturem, reflexionem i hi actuem...

MEDASSET is participating in the 4th Ecological Festival organised at the Ecological Park of the Neo Psihico Municipality (near Athens). Our volunteers will be raising awareness about overfishing and the launch of European Fish Weeks. On the last day of the Festival, on Sunday June 10 at 19.00, we will be screening the film “End of the Line”, subtitled in Greek. At 20.30 we will invite the festival participants for a fish shape photo shoot to end overfishing!

Op zondag 10 juni organiseert Sea First Foundation vzw voor de derde maal het evenement ‘Wereld Oceaan Dag’. Tijdens deze studiedag staan de oceanen centraal. ‘Biodiversiteit’ en ‘Visserij’ zijn dit jaar de hoofdthema´s van deze door de Verenigde Naties erkende dag.

Unas 400 personas van a formar un anillo humano entorno a la isla de Mouro, con motivo del Día Mundial de los Océanos. Esta es la forma que hemos elegido los organizadores del proyecto “Unidos x Océanos + Sanos” para insistir en la necesidad de poner fin a la sobrepesca y pedir unos mares llenos de vida y de pescadores artesanales.

As part of the annual World Oceans Day celebrations, Galway Atlantaquaria is hosting a Family Funday on 10 June from 11am to 5pm. As part of European Fish Weeks there will be talks and stands about Ireland's aquatic resources, children (and adults) will be able to carry out watery experiments and arts & crafts activities. Visitors will be invited to participate in making a "Human Fish" to show their support for Sustainable Fishing.

El próximo lunes a las 20h30 realizaremos una charla-debate titulada "El pescado y la sobrepesca: problemas y soluciones", y posterior cena a base de pescado "sin precio" de nuestra costa.

To mark Fish weeks we are going to form a fish shape with our kayaks on the water and photograph it. We have 40 kayaks so far, the more the merrier.

Fiera della Pesca - Ancona l’edizione rappresenta il primo passo verso un progetto di rilancio del settore fi eristico dedicato alla pesca, sarà presentato il progetto triennale per lo sviluppo della Blue Economy della Regione Marche.

During the Spetses Classic Yacht Race 2012, Archipelagos Institute and the Poseidonion Grand Hotel has organised meetings with the skippers and crew of the participating ships and the local fishermen to talk about the state of our seas, the threat of overfishing and what we can do. We are also running a OCEAN2012 stall at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel to engage the many people who will be coming to watch the event on the issue of overfishing.

No sábado, dia 23 de junho em frente ao Padrão dos Descobrimentos, pelas 11h venha participar no cordão humano em forma de peixe.
